Enjoyable and educational video shows NC’s sweet potato mascot, Spencer SweetPotato teaching a fourth grade class all about sweet potatoes – “Nature’s Health Food.”
This new 10-minute video focuses on the production of North Carolina-grown sweet potatoes and their role as part of a healthy diet. In the video, Spencer SweetPotato, NC’s sweet potato industry mascot, teaches a fourth grade class on how sweet potatoes get from the farmers’ field to their plate, including planting, growing, and harvesting, along with the nutritional benefits as well as the expanding marketplace for sweet potatoes.
